A Full-Service Durham Video Studio — Not Just an Empty Room...

The Problem with Most Studio Rentals.

Many video studios hand you a room and wish you luck. You're left to find a crew, configure the technology, manage the audio, operate the cameras, and troubleshoot the production yourself — while also trying to deliver your content.

A Supported Production Environment.

The Teaching Studio works differently. Cameras, professional lighting, broadcast-quality audio, multi-camera switching, graphics, video playback, remote-presenter integration, streaming, and recording are all managed by our production team — with production coordination and technical direction tailored to your project. Specific services and staffing depend on what you're producing, and we'll design the right configuration with you. You focus on the message. We produce it.

Professional Production Support from Start to Finish

Every production is planned around your format, audience, presenters, technical requirements, distribution method, and desired outcome. Capabilities include:

Durham Video Studio FAQs

Where is The Teaching Studio located?
The Teaching Studio is located at 3211 Shannon Road, Suite 125, Durham, NC 27707. We're happy to show you around — schedule a free studio tour and see the facility in person before you book anything.
Is The Teaching Studio an equipment-only studio rental?
No — and that's the difference clients notice first. The Teaching Studio combines a professional broadcast studio with an experienced production team. Rather than handing you keys to a room, we support your production: a team member in our control room manages cameras, lighting, audio, graphics, and live switching while you focus on your message.
What types of videos can I produce?
Clients use the studio for corporate videos, executive communications, live virtual events, webinars, company town halls, panel discussions, training and educational programming, online courses, multi-camera interviews, thought-leadership content, and recorded presentations for future distribution.
Can you live-stream from the studio?
Yes. The studio is built for live production — multi-camera switching, live audio mixing, real-time graphics, and streaming to your virtual event platform or audience. Many of our productions are broadcast live, recorded for later use, or both.
Can remote speakers participate?
Yes. The studio is purpose-built for hybrid formats, integrating remote presenters and guests alongside in-studio speakers in a polished, broadcast-quality frame. Your panelists can join from anywhere and still look like they're sharing the same professional stage.
Do I need to bring my own production crew?
No. Every session includes a professional production team member in our control room managing the technical execution — cameras, lighting, audio, graphics, and live switching. Specific staffing and services are tailored to each project, and post-production editing is available when you want a polished final cut.
Can I tour the studio before booking?
Absolutely — we encourage it. Schedule a free studio tour and we'll walk you through the facility, talk through your production, and show you exactly how your event or recording would come together. No obligation.
Do you serve Raleigh and other Triangle communities?
Yes. Our physical studio is in Durham, and we regularly work with organizations from Raleigh, Chapel Hill, Research Triangle Park, Cary, Morrisville, Hillsborough, and across the greater Triangle. Remote production capabilities also let participants outside North Carolina take part.
How much does a studio production cost?
It depends on the production. Factors include duration, studio configuration, crew requirements, the number of presenters, live-streaming needs, remote participants, graphics, post-production, and overall technical complexity. Tell us what you're producing and we'll recommend an approach and pricing that fit your project.
How far in advance should I contact the studio?
As early as practical. Studio sessions can be scheduled up to 12 months in advance, and popular dates fill up — the earlier you reach out, the more flexibility you'll have. That said, we regularly help clients with near-term productions, so don't hesitate to contact us about an upcoming date.
